Nestled along the Sequatchie River in Whitwell, Tennessee, our campground is your gateway to untamed beauty — from misty morning hikes to starlit evenings around a crackling fire.
The Sequatchie River Adventure Campground wasn't built — it was discovered. Tucked into the rolling hills of Whitwell, Tennessee, our 30-plus acres of wooded land wrap around a stretch of river that has carried paddlers, anglers, and dreamers for generations.
We created this space for people who want more from their time outdoors. Whether you're pulling an RV into a full-hookup site under the pines, settling into our riverside cabin with a book and a cup of coffee, or simply sitting on a log by the water with no plan at all — this is your kind of place.
Wake up to the sound of water and morning birdsong.
Spaced sites and secluded spots for real solitude.
Whether you roll in with a full RV setup or just a sleeping bag and a sense of adventure, we've got a spot that feels like home.
Spacious pull-through and back-in sites with full water, electric, and sewer hookups. Each site is shaded by mature oaks and offers a private fire ring with seating.
Our signature cabin sits directly on the riverbank — floor-to-ceiling windows, a wraparound deck, and the gentle rush of water as your nightly lullaby. Fully furnished and perfect for couples or small families.
For the purists — pitch your tent among ancient hickories and wildflowers. Our tent sites offer flat, well-drained ground, shade when you need it, and direct river access when you want it.
The Sequatchie Valley is packed with outdoor experiences, and we're right in the middle of it all. Here's what awaits you:
Kayak, canoe, or simply float the Sequatchie River. Non-motorized watercraft only — and we can point you to the best take-out spots.
Miles of wooded trails wind through the Sequatchie Valley, from easy riverside strolls to challenging ridge-top hikes with panoramic views.
Cast a line from the riverbank or wade in for trout and smallmouth bass. The Sequatchie holds some of the best fly-fishing in the region.
With minimal light pollution, our nights are filled with stars. Bring a blanket, sit by the fire, and lose yourself in the Milky Way.
Explore one of the oldest known caves in North America — just a short drive from camp.
About 45 minutes south — world-class rock climbing, the Chattanooga Zoo, and great dining.
A scenic drive to the top reveals eagle cliffs, a skywalk, and views that stretch across three states.
These are just a few moments captured at the campground. The real magic is what you'll make here.
